Our story begins in northern Afghanistan in 1330 AH, when the late Haji Mohammad Yousof Wakil founded what would become the renowned Sakhizada Uzbek weaving house. From father to son, each generation refined the craft of hand-knotted Afghan carpets, preserving techniques and motifs that have endured for nearly a century.

Today, under the leadership of Al Haj Ghulam Qader Sakhizada, this legacy continues reimagined for the modern world as KANZ Heritage, the European signature of Afghan mastery.

Every Knot, a Work of Art

Each Kanz Heritage carpet is born from devotion, patience, and artistry.
Our master weavers employ the celebrated Afghan knot, a technique admired for its precision, strength, and clarity.

Every carpet is entirely handmade in Afghanistan using 100% natural materials  high-altitude wool, durable cotton, and fine silk.
Colors are derived from plants and minerals: pomegranate peel, indigo, madder root, and weld fixed in the mountain sun to achieve hues that mature with quiet grace.

No two carpets are ever the same. Each bears the subtle signature of the artisan who wove it, a masterpiece that reflects both heritage and individuality.
